Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya (TSM) is not just a music and dance school; it’s a heritage that dates back to 1972 when it was founded in Hapur, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, by the illustrious Late Shri R.S. Verma, a Sangeet Acharya of immense acclaim. His melodious vocals and virtuosity with instruments like the harmonium and tabla defined an era. Shri R.S. Verma’s artistic prowess extended beyond music; he was also an actor and director, captivating audiences through skits, dramas, and stage performances as part of his ‘Sangeet Mandli.’
To carry forward this rich legacy of music and performing arts, his son assumed the role of Sangeet Acharya at Tansen Sangeet Mahavidyalaya.
