DIYguru is a pioneering platform in India, dedicated to fostering the talents of engineering and diploma students through project-based courses that prepare them for successful careers in the industry. Our mission is to empower high school and college students who are passionate and enthusiastic about technology, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of emerging technologies and career opportunities.

Pioneering Education Transformation:

In our initial phase, DIYguru collaborated closely with educational institutions, introducing a groundbreaking initiative—the ‘DIY Mentor.’ These mentors, carefully selected experts in their fields, were embedded within high schools and colleges. Their primary responsibility was to inspire innovation in areas such as Automobile Engineering, Robotics, 3D Printing, Drones, Aeronautics, and other cutting-edge concepts, aligning with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

A Flourishing Journey:

Since our inception, DIYguru has grown exponentially. As of 2017, we have established partnerships with 75 esteemed engineering colleges across Delhi, Pune, and Bangalore. Our dynamic online portal offers a plethora of courses in Automotive and Aerospace Engineering, empowering students with the knowledge and skills demanded by the industry.

Our Vision:

DIYguru’s vision extends beyond traditional education. We aspire to provide students with a distinct advantage in terms of job opportunities and entrepreneurship in the manufacturing sector. Our approach, rooted in hands-on DIY learning, inspires young Indians to lead lives fueled by passion and purpose, and empowers them to become agents of change in the world.

The Genesis of DIYguru:

The concept of DIYguru emerged from a collective experience of the dearth of mentorship faced during the founders’ college days. Conversations with peers and educators who were eager to offer their mentorship to students lacking inspiration and exposure to skill-building opportunities in India led to the birth of DIYguru.

In October 2016, a dedicated team of thirty individuals came together to launch the DIYguru project, with the aim of providing a common platform where students and mentors could engage in skill development. Our model thrives on ‘learning through doing’ in a collaborative and fun environment, fostering informal, peer-led learning driven by self-fulfillment.

Empowering the Next Generation:

DIYguru recruits experienced DIY Mentors, each specializing in a particular skillset. These mentors are placed within partner high schools and colleges, offering courses, coaching, counseling, and instigating a maker culture shift to motivate students.

Our mentorship empowers students to take ownership of their learning, preparing them for a future where they can accomplish tasks independently. DIY Mentors embark on a journey of nurturing students, guiding them to develop projects and inspiring a culture of collaboration within the community.

Over time, DIYguru Mentors work with hundreds of students, helping them discover their passions, believe in themselves, and transform their dreams into reality.
